If we get the start of life off to a good footing we can optimise the probability that the health our children and those of our patients will excel. In order to do this we need a knowledge based on understanding, not fear. This enables us to support the various events of development as a natural consequence of good hygienic lifestyles. We don't need to wait in ignorance for the next 'illness' and then palliate the symptoms.
